QPR FB post

Question. Persuade. Refer.

QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer — the 3 simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide.

Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help. Each year thousands of Americans, like you, are saying "Yes" to saving the life of a friend, colleague, sibling, or neighbor.

Our friends at CMH of Clinton, Eaton, Ingham county are offering both adult and youth QPR sessions on a weekly basis, and they are free and open to anyone who’d like to attend.

Along with QPR we are offering another 45-minute learning opportunity called COVID-19, Social Media and Suicide Prevention. In this class we will review the simple steps that we can all take on social media that could save a life.  We will also work to untangle what the experts are saying about the potential impact of the pandemic and economic situation on mental health and suicide.  This is a chance to see what the research and experts are saying and what we might be able to do in our lives to mitigate the potential loss of life.  Please register with the link below.
