Advanced Health and Medications is a four-hour training for all supportive living providers.  This program will present:  signs and symptoms of disease, including heart disease, nervous system diseases and digestive system disorders.  The training will also present the medications that are used to treat these disorders, their indications and side effect profiles.  This training module also provides guidelines on staff action in responding to the symptoms of disease and health documentation guidelines in responding to medical conditions recognized in the individuals we serve in the mental health/substance use system.  A test will be given at the end of this training.  Handouts will also be made available during this important health training.
